www.miniaturetimetraveller.com Miniature Time Traveller Magazine Issue #18 12 A TABLE FOR OUR ALMOST TRADITIONAL CHAIR The legs are made from three shapes cut from a tongue depressor but any 1mm thick wood will be fine. They can be cut out with a craft knife. A scroll saw was used here. The top and the inset circles were wood shapes from a craft shop but you could punch out circles of card and laminate them together. The top is a 55 mm diameter wooden circle The bottom inset is a 30mm wooden circle. The top finish is a piece of decorated card. Tacky glue was used to glue the bottom inset into the slots in the legs. Pegs held it in place while drying. For ease a scrap piece of wood was blue-tacked to the inset underneath, so it could sit on the floor, for stability while drying. The wooden top and base were then prepared and painted. The legs are better painted before gluing in place. The top was affixed with tacky glue. Cut three of these shapes from a tongue depressor or 1mm wood
