About eighteen months ago Donna took up a shop lease on Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt, conveniently located near her home. Formerly a second hand store and in rather shabby condition Donna’s family all piled in and repainted the drab beige interior a fresh white with Donna’s favourite colour pink as a feature behind the counter. The result is a great little place to browse and buy. Realising that the previous owner’s stock, piled tantalisingly outside attracted browsers Donna has a selection of old toys and train set carriages, rails and bits and bobs that make the selection interesting to look at and enjoy. A collection of Teddies sit waiting for new owners. Donna has been making miniatures herself for about 35 years. She started in Wanganui before moving to Wellington. She started her stall and shop after the 2004 Lower Hutt convention. Her family are very supportive, with husband Mike helping out at Conventions and Shows.
