Miniature Time Traveller Magazine Issue #1/23 www.miniaturetimetraveller.com Cut pieces as shown above out of tongue depressors. Sides x 2 = 2" Base = 1" Top = 1" Shelf x 2 = 1" Drawer front = 2cm but you may need to check this for size before cutting. Use small tack for drawer pull. Make a box joining sides between top and base, making sure it is square. Using Poster Board cut back strip approx 1" x 2 1/8". then decide how big you want your base and top, cut two pieces for both top and base, one slightly smaller to give the layer look. To round edges, sand mount board on the white side- it goes less fuzzy! Decide if you want a drawer, if so do you want a working drawer? For a working drawer cut the inner out of poster board approx: Base 2cm x 1.5 back 2cm x 2cm then cut sides to fit in between drawer front and the back...approx 1cm x 1.4cm. Measure, measure, measure for a neat job. Add shelves, one on top of drawer (allowing drawer to slide) and the other where you would like it! If making a wine cabinet and wish to have wine bottles in a rack: Cut a strip approximately 7mm x 2.4mm (depth of front x width of cabinet). Decide where you want your bottles to lay, and sand a small grove to lay the wine bottle neck. Clever things to do with Tongue Depressors This workshop was originally put together by Suzi Cartwright of the Palmerston North Miniature Club and the workshop was repeated at LHMM in Petone by Mavis Cheyne. This small cabinet can be done with or without a working drawer or just a drawer front. A NICE LITTLE DRINKS CABINET SIZE from floor 2.5 inches
