Miniature Time Traveller Magazine Issue #1/24 For those of you who have visited Greytown in the Wairarapa you would have seen the Primrose Yellow Villa with the white trimming (that looks a lot like a full scale Doll House) where Viv had his miniature shop. Viv along with Rosie, caught the miniature bug in 2004 at their first NZAME convention in Hamilton. They wanted something creative to do that would use their combined hobbies. In Viv’s case it was woodturning and toy making, for Rosie it was her love of designing house plans and all things tiny. They started their shop in Greytown in 2006. Viv turns wood into miniature salad bowls, pots and dishes to scale out of a range of native woods. Rosie is the interior decorator and advises on house designs. They are selling their miniatures online, on Trademe, email and at shows. The house pictured is their first kitset creation that can also be converted into a downstairs shop with a flat above.
