Miniature Time Traveller Issue 1
GUEST MINIATURIST - Rio Cox continued There has to be mention here of the half of a double garage also filled with treasures. Many room boxes are doing time here. One such room box completed many years ago is the Doctor’s waiting room with the poor oriental gentleman and his broken foot. Rio has a special skill in casting shapes in resin producing figures, or busts to decorate with her large stock of trimmings and stickers and a quirky sense of humour. Above: Hidden away in a book box is a Lingerie display that would be stunning in a full size shop for humans but is an equally show stopping display of skill and creative thinking in 12th Scale. Below: Showing off knitting skills on very thin needles are these three babes with their cosy ensembles. As the result of a lovely Convention workshop, a 12th scale backstage Star’s changing room was inspiration for a workshop for her club, an example of how miniaturists share their work and inspire others. Rio’s interior was built around Rio’s daughter’s role as Cinderella in Sleeping Beauty and the clothing on the back of the miniature door are copied from the life style costumes her daughter wore.
