March 1st 2026 by Jill Fraser Work on the Regency House dollhouse kit continues. To give the house stability, it was proposed that the staircase be the stabilising factor so some eƯort was put into making a really good solid staircase. The hallway walls were wallpapered in readiness. First a textured beige paper was used. Then decals were cut out and glued in place. The tile flooring is printed out on the printer and then given a coat of high gloss Mod Podge. The stairs themselves were first made of wood but seemed too clumsy. Some stairs were printed out on the 3D printer. (This is all part of my end objective of cutting down on breathing in sawdust.) Suitable balustrades could not be found so some were designed and also printed out on the 3D printer. They were then sprayed with gold paint. The hand rails, again, printed out on the 3D printer. Holes were drilled into the edge of the riser of the stairs, using a drill press to keep them straight. End posts were fitted in place capped with 3D printed knobs.
