22 Miniature Time Traveller Project: A 12th scale knitted batwing jumper This jumper is knitted sideways and the band added later . Cast on 12 stitches. Rib 12 rows in 1x1 rib. First increase row: Change to st.st , knit twice into every stitch across row. (24 st.) Knit 5 rows then start increasing 1 st at beginning of every row until 40 stitches are on the needle. When work measures 2 cm from top of cuƯ — knit two rows in a contrasting stripe. Change back to main colour . Knit 2 rows. Divide for neck: - Knit across 22 st. Turn and knit on these stitches only. Making sure there is a purl st. at neck edge on every plain row, knit 16 rows. Now put these stitches on a safety pin and complete the other side the same way. Knit across the stitches on the safety pin. Knit 2 rows. Knit two rows in contrast yarn. Return to main colour. Knit four more rows. Now start decreasing 1 st at start of each row until 24 stitches are on needle. Knit 5 rows. Now on the purl row k2tog every stitch, across row. (12 st.) Rib 12 rows in 1 x 1 rib. Cast oƯ. Band. Cast on 24 stitches. Rib 15 rows or as many as you wish to give the look. Cast oƯ. Repeat. To make up: Sew the bands onto the front and back positioning them about five stitches away of contrasting stripes. Now sew the side seams following the path of (a) as shown on diagram.
